Doppelfaced Linen Cloudwool (DF-LIN-1-UD) is manufactured in Saxony in Germany, and is backed with a layer of natural linen in a felting process that requires no glue to mechanically bond the two layers. Combining two of nature’s lowest impact fibres – sheep’s wool and linen bast fibre – adds strength and structure to this fabric. The result is a reversible quality that is starchy when loomstate, and softens when finished and/or dyed.

Pilling Update 2022:
Doppelhaus Ltd are currently working on a breakthrough to improve the pilling performance of Cloudwool which should be ready in time for Autumn/Winter 2023 collections.
Current trials demonstrate that a 2 at 2000 or 5000 rotations can be improved to a 4 with little additional cost.

The order minimum starts at 200 metres for production.

Prices below are per running metre (at 100cm width) excluding VAT. For orders over 1000 metres, fabric width is wider, width can be specified and a m2 price can be calculated on application.
